The study explored the psychosocial effects of polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) on 180 single women in Lahore and Gujranwala. It found a significant positive correlation between appearance distress and social anxiety (r=0.41, p<0.001). Many participants visited beauty parlors to manage facial hair and used products to conceal acne.
