TLDR Androgenetic alopecia negatively affects emotions and self-confidence, especially in younger people.
The study investigated the psychosocial effects of androgenetic alopecia (AGA) on 200 male and female patients, focusing on quality of life aspects such as emotion, function, social interaction, and self-confidence. It found no significant differences between genders, but noted that married individuals and professional workers had higher emotion scores. Younger patients experienced more significant negative effects, with a positive correlation between age and emotion scores and a negative correlation between age and function scores. The study emphasized the need for early psychological support, particularly for younger individuals, and recommended further research with larger, more diverse samples.
