TLDR PRP injections effectively improve stress urinary incontinence in women.
A study conducted on 20 patients at Sayed Galal hospital assessed the effectiveness of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections as a non-invasive treatment for stress urinary incontinence (SUI) in women. The results indicated significant improvement in incontinence symptoms at both 1 month and 3 months post-treatment, as measured by various incontinence and bladder symptom questionnaires. The study concluded that local injection of autologous PRP is an effective, affordable, and minimally invasive procedure with a satisfactory response for treating female SUI. It recommended PRP as a safe and effective treatment option for women with SUI.
