The study reviewed the scientific literature on the use of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) as an adjunct treatment for patients undergoing hair transplantation. PRP was commonly used for various types of alopecia and had recently been recommended to support hair transplant procedures. The objective was to evaluate the available evidence to determine whether PRP should be recommended for patients before or after hair transplantation.
