TLDR Platelet-rich plasma treatment shows early improvement in femur head avascular necrosis.
The study evaluated the effect of local platelet-rich plasma (PRP) administered using a new technique after core decompression in 15 hips diagnosed with femoral head avascular necrosis, particularly in patients with a history of Covid-19. Early results showed improvement in clinical and MR findings, demonstrating the feasibility of PRP treatment in these patients. The study highlights the importance of the intraoperative application method of PRP, although it suggests that long-term results are needed for a more comprehensive understanding.
