TLDR Some people grow more hair on one side of their scalp, possibly due to genetics, behavior, or environment.
The study titled "Picking a Side: Preferential Laterality in Scalp Hair Density" found no overall side preference in scalp hair density among the study population. However, many healthy individuals showed a tendency to grow more hair on one side of their scalp. The researchers suggest that, besides genetics, behavioral or environmental factors might contribute to this laterality in hair growth.
