TLDR Prachchhana Karma and Ayurvedic medication can help treat patchy hair loss.
The case study evaluates the effectiveness of Prachchhana Karma, a type of Raktamokshana, and supportive Ayurvedic medication in treating Indralupta (Alopecia Areata). Indralupta, characterized by patchy hair loss, is linked to factors like hormonal imbalance and pollution. The treatment involves Shodhana Karma, focusing on Virechana and Rakta mokshana due to the involvement of pitta dosha. Prachchhana Karma, involving multiple incisions to remove impure blood, aims to unblock Kapha and Rakta, enhancing circulation and perifollicular vascularization. The study assesses treatment efficacy by comparing the patient's signs and symptoms before and after the intervention.
