Traumatic scalp injuries pose significant challenges in reconstructive surgery due to the complexity of the scalp's anatomy and the need to restore both function and aesthetics. This review article provides an updated overview of contemporary techniques for post-trauma scalp reconstruction, highlighting surgical innovations and treatment algorithms from recent literature. Techniques range from primary closure and skin grafts to advanced methods like microvascularized flaps and tissue expansion. The choice of technique depends on factors such as defect size, location, and patient health. The review aims to guide medical professionals in improving reconstructive strategies and optimizing patient outcomes.
