The study explored the use of thermosensitive poloxamer hydrogels loaded with hFGF2-linked Camelina lipid droplets (CLD-hFGF2) to enhance skin regeneration in deep second-degree burns. These hydrogels provided a controlled release of hFGF2, promoting cell proliferation and migration, and significantly improved wound healing in vivo on Balb/c mice, achieving 69% healing by day 5 and 90% by day 8. The hydrogels facilitated enhanced collagen alignment, granulation tissue formation, and vascularization, suggesting a promising treatment for burn wound healing. The study involved 30 mice for in vivo tests and highlighted the potential of this delivery system in improving burn treatment outcomes.
