Plica polonica is a rare condition characterized by sudden, irreversible hair entanglement, often linked to psychological disturbances. This case study described a 50-year-old Kashmiri Muslim woman with plica polonica, who had no history of mental illness and had unsuccessfully tried various shampoos and conditioners. Her hair was dry, lusterless, and densely matted without any discharge or odor. Trichoscopic examination showed brown shades and crisscrossing hair shafts resembling an intertwined mesh with concretions. The recommended treatment was to cut the matted hair.
