    The study analyzed the chemical composition, antioxidant properties, and antibacterial activities of various extracts and essential oil from Platycladus orientalis leaves. The essential oil, extracted via hydrodistillation, was rich in α-pinene, β-phellandrene, α-cedrol, and β-caryophyllene. Ethyl acetate and ethanolic extracts showed high total phenolic content. Antioxidant activities were assessed using four methods, with the ethanol extract showing the highest activity. Antimicrobial activity, tested against five bacterial strains, revealed that the essential oil was particularly effective against Micrococcus luteus and Staphylococcus aureus. The study suggested that P. orientalis essential oil and ethanol extracts could be valuable natural antioxidants and antimicrobial agents.
