In 2019, Arivoli conducted a prospective open labelled Phase-II non-randomized clinical trial on "Karunjchirakam Chooranam" for Raktha Soorai Vaayu, a condition that can be correlated with Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) in modern medical science. PCOS is a common reproductive health issue in women, causing symptoms such as irregular menses, obesity, insulin resistance, hirsuitism, acne, androgenic alopecia, and recurrent miscarriage. The study aimed to identify PCOS early to encourage timely treatment and prevent long-term complications. Various pre-clinical studies were carried out for Karunjchirakam Chooranam, including bio-chemical, phytochemical, anti-microbial, hypoglycemic, hypolipidemic, and toxicity studies. The results showed that in most cases treated with Karunjchirakam Chooranam, significant improvements were observed.
