TLDR Homeopathic medicines Calcarea carbonica and Lycopodium clavatum can help improve PCOS symptoms.
The study investigated the efficacy of two homeopathic medicines, Calcarea carbonica and Lycopodium clavatum, in treating Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) in women, particularly focusing on urban and semi-urban populations in India. The research aimed to assess the impact of these treatments on symptoms such as menstrual irregularity, acne, hirsutism, male-type alopecia, acanthosis nigricans, BMI, and waist-hip ratio. The findings indicated that both homeopathic drugs had significant ameliorating effects on PCOS, although they exhibited slightly different impacts on individual symptoms. This study highlighted the potential of homeopathy as a treatment option for PCOS, which is a condition with significant socio-economic implications due to its association with infertility and irregular menstrual cycles.
