Study of Some Pharmacotechnological, Physico-Chemical and Pharmacognostic Properties of Common Fennel (Foeniculum Vulgare) Fruit

The study investigated the pharmacotechnological, physico-chemical, and pharmacognostic properties of Foeniculum vulgare (common fennel) fruits to optimize the production of medicines that improve digestion and gastrointestinal function. The research utilized various methods to analyze whole and crushed fennel fruits, focusing on factors such as moisture content, absorption coefficients, and bulk density. An optimal raw material to extractant ratio of 1:4 was determined for effective extraction. The findings provided qualitative parameters to control and evaluate the technological aspects of producing medicinal preparations from fennel fruits.
