    Caryota mitis, commonly known as Fishtail plants, has been traditionally used to treat various ailments, including hair loss, due to its rich phytochemical composition, which includes alkaloids, flavonoids, terpenoids, phenolic, and fatty acids. Recent studies highlight its pharmacological activities, such as anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, antitumor, antiplatelet, anti-asthmatic, and antioxidant properties. While some preliminary in-vitro and in-vivo studies support these uses, further research is needed to confirm the traditional applications of C. mitis.
