Features of Pharmaceutical Consulting by Specialists of Pharmacy Institutions for the Problem of Hair Loss in Pharmacy Visitors

    TLDR Pharmacy workers need more education to better help people with hair loss.
    The study assessed the competence and educational needs of pharmacy specialists in the Republic of Crimea regarding pharmaceutical counseling for hair loss. It found that people aged 31-45 most frequently seek help, with a preference for topical cosmetics (47%) and dietary supplements (38%). The main causes of hair loss identified were stress (18.1%), gastrointestinal diseases (14.6%), hormonal imbalance (17.7%), and poor blood supply to hair follicles (15.4%). The majority of pharmacy workers expressed a desire to improve their knowledge on alopecia, highlighting a need for educational courses to enhance their counseling skills.
