TLDR Effective pain relief methods for photoepilation include topical anesthetics, cooling devices, and skin stimulation.
The article discussed the pain management strategies in photoepilation, a method of permanent hair removal using optical devices that target melanin in hair follicles. This process can cause mild-to-severe pain due to the increase in skin surface temperature. To mitigate this pain, various methods such as topical anesthetic agents, cooling devices, and non-noxious cutaneous stimulation were employed. The article reviewed the mechanisms of action and the effectiveness of these pain relief methods.
