TLDR The organic hair ointment is safe, promotes hair growth in male rabbits, and has good stability and pH for human use.
The study developed an organic hair ointment using palm kernel oil and shea butter, which underwent quality control tests and was found to have good macroscopic parameters, an acidic pH close to human skin, and stability below 30°C. The ointment was non-irritating to rabbit skin and sterile, indicating safety and adherence to GMP standards. Efficacy tests revealed that the ointment stimulated hair growth in male rabbits, with a significant 21 mm growth over 28 days, while female rabbits experienced slower growth. The results suggest that the ointment has favorable properties for hair growth, especially in males, but the study's strength is limited by the lack of the number of rabbits used.
