TLDR The "After Minoxidil" spray makes hair easier to style, less greasy, and encourages people to keep using the treatment.
In 2020, a study involving 20 female patients with female pattern hair loss (FPHL) tested a new "After Minoxidil" spray designed to remove residual minoxidil from hair, aiming to improve its cosmetic properties and patient compliance. The spray restored ease of styling and reduced greasiness to preminoxidil levels in 65% and 85% of subjects, respectively, with an average greasiness reduction of 78%. Notably, 70% of subjects were likely to continue using the minoxidil and "After Minoxidil" treatment regimen for 6 months, compared to none willing to use minoxidil alone. The study concluded that the "After Minoxidil" spray improved hair styling ease and reduced greasiness after applying topical minoxidil, potentially enhancing drug compliance and efficacy.
