TLDR Nourkrin® significantly increased hair growth and was well-tolerated by people with hair loss.
In a study from 2006, Nourkrin®, a natural product containing marine proteins, vitamins, and minerals, was tested for its effectiveness in treating hair loss. The randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study involved 55 subjects and lasted 6 months. The results showed a significant 35.7% increase in hair growth for the Nourkrin® group compared to a 1.5% increase for the placebo group, with no reported side effects, indicating good tolerability. Subjective self-assessment by participants also reflected a positive effect on hair growth. The study recommended a treatment duration of at least 6 months for satisfactory results and concluded that Nourkrin® could be an effective and well-tolerated alternative to traditional pharmacotherapy for hair loss conditions such as androgenetic alopecia.
