TLDR The lotion with N1-methylspermidine and Sandalore® effectively reduces hair loss and promotes hair growth.
The study, conducted 5 years ago, investigated a new multi-targeting strategy for promoting hair growth. The researchers focused on two recently identified targets in hair cycling and growth control: olfactory receptor and autophagy. They evaluated the pro-autophagic effect of N1-methylspermidine in vitro and tested a lotion containing N1-methylspermidine and Sandalore® in a double-blind clinical trial involving 60 male and female subjects with chronic telogen effluvium. The in vitro tests showed that N1-methylspermidine increased the autophagic process. The clinical trials confirmed the safety and anti-hair loss efficacy of the lotion, with a reduction in hair loss and stimulation of hair growth observed after 3 months of treatment. These effects remained statistically significant, except for hair lost during wash, even 3 months after the end of treatment. The study concluded that the daily use of the N1-methylspermidine and Sandalore®-based lotion effectively counteracts hair loss and increases hair growth.
