TLDR The treatment with Bakuchiol and Neem oil significantly improved hair growth and was well-received by most participants.
This pilot study evaluated a novel nanoemulsion containing Bakuchiol (1%) and Neem oil (3%) for treating mild-to-moderate Alopecia Areata in 30 adults. Applied twice daily for 12 weeks, the treatment significantly increased hair density by 25% and reduced the Severity of Alopecia Tool (SALT) score by 33%, indicating clinical improvement. Dermoscopic analysis showed increased terminal hair count and reduced dystrophic signs. Patient satisfaction was high, with 85% rating their outcome as "good" or "very good." The formulation was well-tolerated, with only mild scalp tingling in 10% of participants. The study suggests that combining Ayurvedic ingredients with nanotechnology is a promising alternative for Alopecia Areata management, though further trials with larger populations are needed.

A user shared a success story showing hair regrowth over 10 years, attributing it to quitting creatine and taking 0.5mg finasteride. Some commenters were skeptical about creatine's impact, while others inquired about side effects, and the original poster reported no negative effects from finasteride.
