The study conducted in Bogotá, Colombia, evaluated the efficacy and safety of the muscular improvement and definition of back contour through key fat (MID BACK) grafting in 102 patients, primarily female, with a median age of 37 years. The procedure involved fat grafting to the Trapezius, erector spinae, and latissimus dorsi muscles, with no adverse events reported. Minor complications included a superficial burn and a self-limited seroma, each occurring in 3.7% of patients. The study concluded that the MID BACK graft technique is safe and effective for enhancing muscular definition and correcting spinal asymmetries, providing a basis for future research in body contouring.
