TLDR The optimized Moringa seed oil nanoemulsion may help with hair growth.
This study optimized a nanoemulsion formulation of Moringa oleifera seed oil, which has antialopecia properties, using Tween 80 and PEG 400. The oil was characterized, showing 12 fatty acids with oleic acid being the most abundant at 71.52%. The optimal formulation included 6.401% Moringa oleifera seed oil, 36% Tween 80, and 18.599% PEG 400, resulting in a nanoemulsion with a particle size of 237.06 nm, a polydispersity index of 0.467, and a zeta potential of -20.89 mV. It had a transmittance value of 97.7% and a spherical shape, indicating its potential as a promising dosage form for hair growth treatments.
