TLDR Demographic factors like age, education, and marriage duration affect mindfulness in women with PCOS.
This study investigated the relationship between mindfulness and various factors in 181 women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) in Tehran, Iran. The findings indicated that mindfulness, as measured by the Mindfulness Attention Awareness Scale (MAAS), was significantly correlated with several demographic factors, including age, education, occupation, economic status, body mass index, and husband satisfaction with the wife's body and appearance. Notably, the duration of marriage was a significant predictor, accounting for 22% of the variance in mindfulness scores. The study concluded that these demographic variables should be considered in counseling or educational programs for women with PCOS, alongside other treatments.
