    The study investigated the serum levels of chemokines MIG and IP-10 in 60 patients with Alopecia Areata (AA) compared to 60 healthy controls. Results showed that AA patients had significantly higher levels of MIG (864.13 ± 201.08 pg/ml) and IP-10 (504.61 ± 122.2 pg/ml) than controls. MIG demonstrated a strong diagnostic capability with an AUC of 0.972, suggesting its potential as a biomarker for early diagnosis and monitoring of AA. Elevated levels of these chemokines indicate their possible involvement in the pathogenesis of AA.
