This case report evaluated the effectiveness of microneedling (MN) for treating non-inflammatory alopecia in dogs with endocrine disorders, including hypothyroidism, hyperadrenocorticism, and alopecia X. The study involved three dogs, each with one of these conditions. Despite controlled hormone levels, initial hair regrowth was not observed in dogs with hypothyroidism and hyperadrenocorticism. However, after MN treatment, the dog with hypothyroidism showed almost complete hair regrowth at 12 months, and the dog with hyperadrenocorticism exhibited significant regrowth at 6 months, maintaining it up to 12 months. The dog with alopecia X showed 51-75% regrowth at 12 months. These results suggest that MN could be a beneficial adjunct treatment for dogs with persistent alopecia despite controlled hormone levels.
