TLDR Microneedling with growth factors improves facial rejuvenation more than microneedling with saline.
This study investigated the effects of microneedling combined with drug delivery on facial rejuvenation in a controlled clinical trial with 30 volunteers. Participants were divided into two groups: one received microneedling with saline, and the other with growth factors. Both groups underwent two treatment sessions. Results showed that both groups experienced satisfactory clinical improvements, but the group treated with growth factors (G2) demonstrated significant enhancements in facial symmetry and a greater increase in collagen and elastin, particularly type I collagen, compared to the saline group (G1). The study concluded that microneedling with growth factors was more effective in promoting collagen production and connective tissue reorganization.
