Medicated Hair Oil Formulation and Positive Effect on Dandruff Control with Hair Growth

The study explores a medicated hair oil formulation using extracts from Hibiscus rosa-sinensis, Jasminum officinale, and Ficus benghalensis, identified from classical Ayurvedic texts. GC-MS analysis revealed several bioactive phytocompounds with potential therapeutic uses such as antifungal, antiseborrheic agents, and hair growth stimulants. The formulated oil demonstrated positive effects in controlling dandruff and promoting hair growth in affected individuals. This research suggests a promising future for herbal-based treatments in addressing hair disorders, particularly among the younger generation, and indicates potential for new medicated oil products in the market.
