TLDR Traditional Ayurvedic treatment improved hair loss in a young woman.
This case study explores the management of Khalitya, or telogen effluvium, in a 20-year-old female using Ayurvedic treatments, specifically Bhringaraja Taila Nasya for 21 days followed by six months of Narasimha Rasayana. The patient's hair loss was linked to recurrent fever and poor dietary habits, which disrupted the body's dosha balance, particularly affecting Pitta and Vata. The treatment led to significant improvements in hair texture, reduced hair fall, and alleviated symptoms like scalp roughness and dandruff over eight months. The study highlights the effectiveness of addressing both physical and psychological factors in treating hair loss, emphasizing the role of stress management and lifestyle changes in recovery.
