TLDR Both Ayurvedic treatments improved hair fall, with Shirodhara being especially effective.
The study conducted in 2019 involved 60 patients divided into two groups, each treated with Ayurvedic methods, Nasya Karma and Shirodhara, using Yashtimadhwadi tail for two months. The treatment was aimed at managing Khalitya, a scalp disease related to hair fall, and Telogen effluvium (TE), a condition where more than normal amounts of hair fall out. The assessment was based on criteria such as hair fall, roughness, kasha sphutan, dandruff, and microscopic examination of the hair root. Both treatments showed excellent results, with Shirodhara showing particularly fine results.
