TLDR Female nursing students with iron deficiency anemia have poor knowledge and practices regarding iron intake, needing better health education and physical monitoring.
The study "Life Style of Female Students Nurses with Iron Deficiency Anemia" involved 160 female nursing students and aimed to assess their lifestyle in relation to iron deficiency anemia. The results showed that more than half of the participants were under 18 years old and had a moderate level of anemia. The study also found that there was no significant correlation between the severity of iron deficiency anemia and the students' health knowledge or academic educational level. The majority of the students had poor knowledge about iron deficiency anemia and inadequate practices, including low consumption of iron-rich foods. The study concluded that health education about the importance of iron-rich foods and iron sources is necessary for female adolescents, and continuous physical surveillance is needed for early detection and treatment of health problems related to iron deficiency anemia.
