TLDR A woman with hypothyroidism stopped taking levothyroxine after successful homeopathic treatment.
This case report describes a 23-year-old woman with hypothyroidism who successfully discontinued levothyroxine after personalized homeopathic treatment with Natrum muriaticum. Over a 1-year follow-up, her TSH levels improved significantly, normalizing to 3.728 µIU/mL, and she experienced a weight reduction from 70.8 kg to 61.2 kg. The modified Naranjo criteria score of +8 indicates a positive cause-and-effect relationship between the homeopathic treatment and her improvement. The report highlights the potential of homeopathy as a complementary therapy for hypothyroidism management, though it emphasizes the need for larger studies to draw definitive conclusions.
