TLDR Younger Jordanians know more about rosemary, often using it for hair and stomach issues.
The study surveyed 407 Jordanians, with a mean age of 30.98 years, to assess their knowledge, attitudes, and perceptions regarding rosemary use. Results indicated that younger participants had higher knowledge scores. Nearly half (48.2%) used rosemary for medical purposes, mainly for hair condition (82.1%) and gastrointestinal issues (67.9%). Most used rosemary oil and leaves, influenced by family and friends. The study concluded that rosemary is widely used in Jordan for health benefits, emphasizing the need for better knowledge dissemination to ensure safe and effective use of herbal therapies.
