Development of Hair Treatment Cream Using Keratin Protein

The study focused on developing a hair treatment cream using keratin protein derived from chicken feathers. The keratin served as an active ingredient to repair damaged hair by replacing missing keratin, smoothing hair, and reducing brittleness of cuticle cells. The cream was formulated by mixing oil and water phases at specific temperatures until homogenized. Six analyses were conducted to test the cream's stability and effectiveness in repairing hair damage, particularly on the hair surface. The results indicated that the cream was stable and effective in improving damaged hair, demonstrating the potential of keratin protein in hair treatment products.
