    In 2020, a study introduced the KEBOT system, an artificial intelligence-based tool for analyzing Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) hair transplantation. The system was designed to provide detailed pre-operation and post-operation analysis, aiding in operation planning and success assessment. It used a robotic arm and AI-based analysis to detect all follicles pre-operation and all extracted and placed grafts post-operation. It also calculated hair thickness and the Coverage Value (CV) for the whole head. The system was trained using 200 images from 43 patients and showed high accuracy in follicular unit detection, with a negligible error level of less than 5%. The study concluded that the KEBOT system could be successfully used in hair transplantation operations.
