Effect of Jalaukavacharana in Khalitya (Hairfall): A Case Report

    This case report discusses the treatment of a 35-year-old female patient experiencing hair loss (Khalitya) using Jalaukavacharana (Leech Therapy), a method recommended in Ayurveda for Pitta-related conditions. Despite four months of prior medication with no satisfactory results, the patient underwent Jalaukavacharana combined with shamanaushadhi for over 5 weeks. The therapy led to noticeable improvements in the rate of hair loss, suggesting its effectiveness in treating Khalitya. This single case study highlights the potential benefits of Jalaukavacharana for hair fall.
