TLDR Intravital microscopy helps us see how parasites interact with skin and fat in living animals.
Intravital microscopy provided significant insights into host-parasite interactions in skin and adipose tissues by allowing real-time visualization in living animals. This method, enhanced by genetics, microscopy techniques, and image analysis, advanced the understanding of these interactions at cellular and subcellular levels. The review summarized findings from studies using this technique to observe infections with various parasites and discussed potential future applications of intravital microscopy in studying biological phenomena.
