TLDR Triamcinolone acetonide injections help hair regrow quickly in mild alopecia but not in severe cases.
The study involved 84 patients with varying degrees of alopecia areata treated with intralesional injections of triamcinolone acetonide using a needleless injector (Porto-Jet). The results indicated that in cases of limited alopecia, a high proportion of patients experienced rapid hair regrowth. However, in cases of established alopecia totalis, lasting hair growth was rare.
