TLDR Using finasteride with TIP extends time off period for prostate cancer patients.
The study found that intermittent use of testosterone inactivating pharmaceuticals (TIP) with finasteride can prolong the time off period (TOP) and improve quality of life for men with prostate cancer. Finasteride doubled the duration of TOP, and longer TIP, increased age, and other factors predicted longer TOP. The study suggests that intermittent use of TIP with finasteride can be an effective treatment option for prostate cancer.
