TLDR Patients are interested in anti-aging treatments but rely on dermatologists for guidance.
The study surveyed 300 patients at the University of Michigan General Dermatology Clinic to understand the demographics and preferences of those using anti-aging therapies. It found that 53% of patients had used such treatments, and 66% were interested in future use, with high interest across all genders, ages, and incomes. Most patients obtained information from magazines, but they were more likely to pursue treatments when informed by a dermatologist. The study concluded that while the demographics of anti-aging therapy users were broadening, patients were generally unfamiliar with treatment options, highlighting the importance of dermatologists in guiding treatment decisions.
