TLDR Dietary habits and stress management are key to preventing hair loss.
The study explores Khalitya, or hair loss, through an integrative approach combining Ayurveda and modern science. It identifies hair loss as a multifactorial disorder influenced by dietary practices, systemic health, and environmental factors. In Ayurveda, Khalitya is linked to vitiated Pitta and Vata doshas and Asthi Dhatu kshaya, while modern science attributes it to nutritional deficiencies, hormonal imbalances, and stress. The observational study involved 40 participants and found that 55% had low serum calcium levels, correlating with Ayurvedic concepts. The study emphasizes prevention through dietary regulation, stress management, and biochemical monitoring, offering a holistic framework for managing hair health.
