TLDR Most women with Polycystic Ovarian Disease have trouble getting pregnant due to hormonal imbalances, but lifestyle changes and certain drugs can help.
The cross-sectional study analyzed 100 women with Polycystic Ovarian Disease/Syndrome (PCOD/PCOS), finding that 72% had difficulties conceiving, while 10% had no fertility issues. 18% were not yet married. The study concluded that there's a correlation between PCOD and infertility, with PCOD causing hormonal imbalances such as excessive androgen production, elevated Leutinising Hormone (LH) levels, and insulin resistance. These imbalances result in menstrual irregularities and anovulation, contributing to infertility. The study suggests lifestyle modifications and ovulation-inducing drugs for patients who don't conceive despite lifestyle changes.
