The study on mange infestation in rabbits in Mosul City, Iraq, examined 130 rabbits and found that 43.1% were infested with various mange species, with Sarcoptes scabiei var. cuniculi being the most common (38.5%) and Cheyletiella spp. the least common (3%). Significant lesions included hyperkeratosis, alopecia, and pruritus, predominantly on the abdomen and back. There were significant differences in infestation rates based on age but not between genders. The study also found that double infestations were the most common, occurring in 50% of the cases.
