TLDR Narrowband UVB therapy significantly improved a child's rare skin condition.
A 12-year-old patient with ichthyosis linearis circumflexa showed significant improvement after undergoing 30 sessions of narrowband UVB phototherapy. This rare form of ichthyosis, often associated with Netherton syndrome, typically presents with polycyclic and annular lesions. Various treatments, including emollients, keratolytics, and systemic retinoids, have been used with mixed results. However, the narrowband UVB therapy proved effective in this case, highlighting its potential as a viable treatment option for this condition.
