TLDR Homeopathic treatment improved symptoms of PCOS in seven patients.
A case series involving seven patients with polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) treated with constitutional homoeopathic medicines at Nehru Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital in New Delhi, India, demonstrated significant improvements. The treatments led to the restoration of regular menstrual cycles, weight loss, and the disappearance of ovarian cysts, as confirmed by ultrasonography. Additionally, there were improved scores on the Integrative Medicine Outcome Scale (IMOS) and the WHOQOL-BREF quality of life scale. One patient with infertility conceived during the treatment. The homoeopathic medicines found most effective were Natrum muriaticum, Lycopodium clavatum, Silicea terra, Pulsatilla nigricans, and Sepia. The study suggests that homoeopathy has potential in treating PCOS.
