TLDR Hirsutism is when women have too much hair growth, often due to a bit more androgen hormones and sensitive skin.
Hirsutism referred to excess hair growth in women and sometimes men, often indicating an underlying disorder of androgen production. It typically resulted from mildly increased androgen levels and heightened skin sensitivity to androgens, with idiopathic hirsutism describing cases caused by this combination.
