TLDR The herbal shampoo with flaxseeds and other herbs promotes hair growth and is safe for use.

The study aimed to develop a herbal shampoo using Reetha, Amla, Neem, Bringraj, Jatamanasi, and Aloe vera for hair growth and strengthening. The shampoo was formulated with these herbs at concentrations of 1% and 1.5%. Evaluation showed that the shampoo met Ayurvedic Pharmacopoeia of India standards, with increased hair growth activity observed at 1% concentration. The aqueous extraction method provided optimal washing and conditioning results. Stability testing indicated no phase separation or color change, and patch testing confirmed no skin irritation or allergic sensitization.
