TLDR Herbal shampoo bars are eco-friendly and beneficial for hair and scalp but need improvements for wider use.
Herbal shampoo bars are gaining attention as sustainable alternatives to synthetic hair cleansers due to their natural ingredients like basil, Aloe vera, and reetha, which provide antibacterial, antioxidant, and antifungal benefits. These bars help treat conditions such as acne, eczema, and psoriasis while maintaining natural scalp oils and offering antimicrobial, anti-dandruff, and conditioning benefits. They are eco-friendly, reducing plastic use and avoiding harmful chemicals like sulfates and parabens. Despite their benefits, challenges such as pH imbalance and reduced lathering need addressing, requiring further research and formulation improvements to enhance their adoption as mainstream hair care products.
