Formulation and Evaluation of Herbal Gel Containing Allium Cepa Extract

The study aimed to formulate and evaluate a herbal gel containing Allium cepa (onion) extract, known for its health benefits and use in preventing hair loss. The gel was prepared using Carbopol 934 as a gelling agent, with the F3 Batch optimized at a 1.5% concentration. Various formulations were assessed for physical appearance, pH, spreadability, homogeneity, in-vitro diffusion, viscosity, and drug-excipient compatibility. The research highlighted the potential of Allium cepa extract in a non-greasy gel formulation for topical application.
